Eligible RDN homeowners may qualify for up to $1,000.
The Regional District of Nanaimo's 2026 Rainwater Harvesting Rebate is open, subject to eligibility and available funding.
How the current RDN program works
The 2026 program requires qualifying storage of at least 4,546 litres (1,000 imperial gallons). The RDN recommends applying for pre-approval before purchasing equipment or beginning installation so eligibility and available funds can be confirmed.
Important timing
According to the RDN's 2026 pre-approval form, funds are available until December 15, 2026 or until exhausted, and approved funds are generally reserved for eligible work for up to 90 days.
How we can help
We can discuss system scope, storage, collection components and installation requirements during your assessment. Rebate approval is determined by the RDN, and program requirements can change, so the RDN's current forms and eligibility rules should always be checked before proceeding.
